Building your custom grid is a snap... literally. Each GridFrame comes pre-assembled for standalone use, but the true potential is in its modularity. You can easily connect multiple frames together by swapping out the side insert caps with either a male or female insert based on the design of your grid. The side inserts utilize strong neodymium magnets to connect two adjacent frames together into perfect alignment. No guessing, no gaps. It’s super easy!

What exactly is GridFrame?
GridFrame is a modular, magnetic framing system designed to help you display collections that usually end up in stacks—like trading cards, postcards, and vinyl records. Because it's modular, you can start with one frame and magnetically "snap" others onto it as your collection grows.
What sizes do you offer?
GridFrame comes in three primary size options:
- GridFrame S: For media up to 7" (think Pokémon cards, 4x6 postcards, and small art prints).
- GridFrame L: For larger media up to 12.5" (perfect for 8x10 photos and 12" vinyl LP covers).
- Custom Sizes: If you have a specific piece of art, we can 3D print a frame to your exact dimensions.
How accurately do I need to measure my art?
The printing tolerances on GridFrame is pretty tight to prevent movement and/or sloppy positioning of the art inside the frame. Because of this, the measurements you provide need to be as accurate as possible. Please refer to our measuring tips for more info.
Can I frame thicker items like vintage books?
Yes! GridFrame comes with two 1/2" foam inserts to keep your artwork snug inside. How many inserts are needed will depend on the thickness of the item you are framing. It is also important to keep in mind the weight of the items you are framing, as it may be necessary to use additional wall anchors depending on the size of your grid.
Do I have to anchor every single frame to the wall?
No! Because the magnetic connection is quite strong, a 2x2 or 3x3 grid can often be supported by just a few anchors. However, for heavier items like vinyl LPs, we recommend a few extra anchors to keep everything secure.
